1. Prem Singh Tamang

Also famous as PS Golay, Prem Singh Tamang is one of the most famous politicians of Sikkim and is the founder of the largest opposition party of Sikkim known as Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) established in the year 2014 and has won 10 seats out of 32 seats in the Sikkim State legislative assembly in the same year. Nar Bahadur Bhandari was born on 5th October 1940 and served as the 2nd Chief Minister of Sikkim served from 18th October 1979 to 11th May 1984 and was the founding leader of Sikkim Sangram Parishad Party. Also known as the architect of modern Sikkim, Bhandari also served as the president of Bharatiya Nepali Bhasha Parisangh until his death and has played a major role in including the Nepali language in 8th Schedule of Constitution of India.

Lal Bahadur Basnet was born in 17th December 1926 in Sikkim and later left the state for his basic education and later joined Indian Army and later was court-martialed because of his open letter to his superiors about their corrupt practices. After leaving Army, he joined Sikkim National Congress and later left and founded the Sikkim Janata Party in the year 1969 and was elected as the Deputy Speaker of Sikkim Legislative Assembly after winning the election of the year 1979.

8. Athup Lepcha

Athup Lepcha is a political leader from Sikkim, he is the president of “Affected Citizens of Teesta” and is the vice president of Hamro Sikkim Party. In 1979, he stood as a candidate from Djongu Constituency and he beat Kazi Lhendup Dorjee, honourable Chief Minister of Sikkim. He was appointed as State Minister for Forest and Environment. Kazi Lhendup Dorjee also known with the name of Kazi Lhendup Dorji Khangsarpa, was the first Chief Minister of Sikkim. He continues his term of work as Chief Minister from 1975 to 1979. He was born on 11 October 1904 at Pakyong, Sikkim.
He started his political career with Sikkim National Congress before 1975, after 1975 the name of the party changed, as Indian National Congress

10. N. B. Khatiwada

Nar Bahadur Khatiwada is a politician from Sikkim who won the Assembly election in 1974 from Denmark Constituency. In 1979 he won the Temi – Tarku seat from Legislative Assembly election of Sikkim. After 1989 he contested the seat of Temi – Tarku as the candidate of Indian National Congress Party. In 1999 he contested the Lok Sabha Election from the seat of Darjeeling as the candidate of Indian National Congress and finished in the second number with 24% of votes. 12. Visit Rope-way ride

One of the most adventurous rides to do in Udaipur, the ropeway ride takes you from the top of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Park up to the Karni Mata Temple. This ropeway is locally known as Gondola, you can visit Karni Mata Temple after reaching to the cable car stop point. There is a white marble statue of Karni Mata (Goddess), you can even climb a little bit to reach the shrine of Pahad Wale Baba. It will be an amazing experience to see the Udaipur from the top. 

13. Visit the Neemach Mata Temple

The is a temple located at the hilltop where you can reach by climbing 850 m via stairs. The temple is dedicated to Neemach Mata (Goddess), also there is a statue of Lord Ganesh and three lions made up of stones. The temple is also famous as the sunset and sunrise point, you can climb the hill before the sunrise to enjoy it in the fresh morning air. You can see the panoramic view of the whole city, the fresh at the temple are very fresh as there is no pollution at the hilltop.

16. Visit Sukhadia Circle Garden.

Garden which was named after Mohan Lal Sukhadia, the first CM of Rajasthan. The garden has a big pond which has a large fountain in the middle of the pond, you can do boating as they offer boating facilities too in the garden. These markets have everything at reasonable prices and with better product quality. You can buy various traditional items such as authentic handicrafts and Rajasthani souvenirs from Bapu Bazar for which it is famous. 19. Relax at the Goverdhan Sagar Lake

A Lake located on the outskirts of Udaipur, it’s a well maintained and clean lake.
