Respected sir,

I would like to bring to your kind notice that I have come to decision to step away from the sport and retire from all forms and levels of the game. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the bcci and all the state associations that I have represented which include Hyderabad, Baroda, Andhra and Vidharbha. I also would like to thank the two IPL franchises MI and CSK for their support. It has been an honour and privilege to have represented our country. I would like to thank the captains I have played under, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and especially Virat Kohli who always had shown great belief in me throughout my career with the Indian team. It has been a wonderful journey of playing the sport and learning from every up and down it brought up on for the last 25 years at various different levels. Finally I would like to thank my family and all the wellwishers who have been with me throughout this wonderful journey.

The tour will kick-off with 2 T20I’s in Florida followed by 3rd in Guyana & 1st ODI will also be played in Guyana. The last two matches of ODI Series will be played in Trinidad. The Test Series will start after a gap of one week with the First Test in Antigua and 2nd in Jamaica.

Just In Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out for 3 Weeks due to a fracture to his thumb. He will not feature in games against New Zealand, Windies, England, Pakistan, Afghanistan. Replacement has not been named yet.

This action by ICC has not been received by Indian Fans in a good-way, most of them are upset by this ruling. Also, Mr. Vinod Rai the COA Chief has said in a statement that BCCI has already filed a request for clearance in this matter, so Ms.Dhoni can wear it.

There is no official statement from Dale on his immediate future. This news was officially provided by the South African Team’s captain Faf Du Plessis. According to Du Plessis he was 60% fit before coming for World Cup and further he was adjugded 85% fit on Monday. Beuran Hendricks was named his replacement, the left-hander has taken 1 wicket in 2 matches so far after debuting in January this year.

While Hashim Amla who was hit on the helmet by Jofra Archer in the first game was rested for the second but is expeced to fit for the important match against India. Whereas Lungi Ngidi the ace pacer has injured his Hamstring is out for a minmum of 10 days as per Cricket South Africa Doctor Moosajee.

The Indian Cricket Team’s Physio, Mr. Patrick Farhat has confirmed to BCCI about the Fitness of Kedar. They both worked together on kedar’s fitness & injury for more than a week in Mumbai. Kedar is also one of the key members of the Indian Team due to his ability to bowl off-spin which adds an extra dimension to the Indian bowling while his contribution to the team has been immense with the bat.

So, far Kedar has scored 1174 runs in 59 matches for India in ODI’s and has taken 27 wickets.

The team will be led by Virat Kohli with Rohit Sharma as his deputy & Ms.Dhoni as the first choice wicket-keeper, while Jasprit Bumrah will lead the pace attack along with Mohammed Shami & Bhuvneshwar Kumar as back-up. Kuldeep Yadav & Yuzvendra Chahal as two preferred spin options & Shikhar Dhawan at top with Rohit. Once again Hardik Pandya will play the critical role of All-Rounder & finisher along with Kedar Jadhav, while KL.Rahul will act as backup-opener & Vijay Shankar is set to act as the no. 4 for the team. Dinesh Karthik will be back-up keeper & Ravindra Jadeja as back-up All-Rounder.

As per team management Nathan Coulter Nile has opted out of the tournament due to a back niggle. While the 35 years old Dale Steyn last played for Gujarat Lions in IPL 2016 & is making a comeback after 3 years. Also, in this year’s auctions he went unsold. Steyn has previously played for the same franchise from 2008-2010.

Further, Steyn will only be available form 16 April which means he will miss the next two important games against Punjab & Mumbai.
