The government of China primarily manages the education in China, though there are a few private set-ups in recent years. It is compulsory for every citizen to at least attend nine years of schooling. The government emphasizes a lot on attending schools and to be educated in the early ages of life. Compulsory education in China is funded by the government. This includes a six-year primary education which is then followed by junior secondary education. Higher education is also given a lot of importance in the country. This is divided into higher education and adult education. Adult education is mainly done in remote areas to increase the literacy level of the people.

1. Wuhan University

This is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in China. It was founded in the year 1893. A good score is required throughout the academics to get admitted to this university and also need a good score in IELTS to be its International student. 2.  Hebei United University

Earlier known as the North china medical college, this university of China was established in the year 1926. The college mainly offers medical programs but there are engineering programs as well. The college of china was established in the year 1936. This is the first higher educational institute to offer pharmacy as a course in china. China Pharmaceutical University has two campuses located in the country. There are five departments with 29 undergraduate programs and over 20 master’s programs. 4.  Wenzhou Medical University

This is a multidisciplinary university in China in Wenzhou. It was established in the year 1912. The college gives out professional courses in medicine (MBBS), dentistry, and surgery. There are master level programs as well in the college. There are scholarship programs that are given to the students who perform well in their academics both at the bachelor level and master levels.

5. Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University (XJTLU)

Xi’an Jiatong Liverpool University was established in the year 2006 as a non-profit organization. This university of china has a tie-up with the University of Liverpool in the UK. The college has one of the best central libraries with access to over a million books in hard copy and soft copy. The college of China has departments in science and technology, arts, social science, commerce, marketing, and so on. There are research programs and internships programs in abroad countries that are affiliated with this university.

6. China Europe International Business School

This Business college of China was formed out of a collaboration between the Chinese government and the European Union. This is the first only business school to be set up in China in the year 1994. The college offers BBA programs as well as MBA programs in Hospitality Marketing as well as an Executive MBA. Most of the biggest cities in China like Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen has a campus of this college.

7. Jinzhou Medical University

Jinzhou Medical University was established in the year 1946 by the Chinese government. 8. Xiamen University

The university is known for its medical programs but offers other programs as well in the field of arts, science and technology, commerce, business and marketing, and so on. 10. Fudan University

Located in Shanghai, this university of China was set up in the year 1905. The college is known for having key laboratories in the areas of medicine, liberal arts, science, computer, and IT. The library system of the university is also one of the best that you can find with over 500 thousand books in various fields. There are nearly 30000 students doing under graduation and post-graduation including foreign students.

11. Zhejiang University

Located in the town of Hangzhou, this is one of the oldest universities in China established in the year 1897. Medicine is the main interest of study here but there are other courses as well like in the fields of science, arts, commerce, economics, and marketing. It is one of the highest-ranked universities in the whole country, with the latest rank of a third.

12. China Three Gorges University

This university was established in the year 2000 as a merger of two other universities. There are a large number of colleges that come under this university. There are over 70 under graduate programs and a number of master programs run by the university.
