The world is going to witness the last Solar Eclipse of this year on 26th Dec

The last solar eclipse of the year is going to take place on Thursday, 26 December. This will be an annular solar eclipse, in which the Sun will appear like a ring of fire. According to Indian time, this eclipse will start from 8.17 am to 10: 57 pm. This eclipse can be seen in Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Sumatra and Borneo including India.

The annular solar eclipse occurs when the Moon is not able to fully take the Earth under its shadow even though it is between the Earth and the Sun, due to which the outer part of the Sun remains illuminated. At this time the sun appears like a bright ring of fire.

Ooty, Mangaluru, Kasaragod, Karur, Kozhikode, Coimbatore, Sivaganga, Tiruchirappalli, Al Hofuf and Singapore will witness a annular solar eclipse whereas New Delhi, Pune, Jaipur, Lucknow, Kanpur, Nagpur, Indore, Thane, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Surat, Bhopal, Visakhapatnam,  Patna, Ludhiana, Agra, Riyadh, Karachi, Kuala Lumpur is going to witness partial solar eclipse.
