Prof. Roddam Narasimha- a Padam Vibhushan Awardee and Aerospace Scientist Dies of Brain Hemorrhage

The renowned Aerospace scientist Prof. Roddam Narasimha dies of a sudden brain hemorrhage at the age of 87 on Tuesday. In 2018 also, he suffered from cardiac illness and a slight brain stroke.

Prof. Narasimha is known as “fluid dynamist” served at the prestigious Indian Institute of Science ( 1962 – 1999) and also been the Director of the National Aerospace Laboratories and the Chairman of the Engineering Mechanics Unit at Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore, (2000 to 2014). Prof. Narasimha was awarded the second-highest civilian award of India, Padma Vibhushan.

Dr. APJ Kalam and Prof. Narasimha collectively wrote a book “Development in Fluid Mechanics and House Know-How”. The final rites of Narasimha will be done by his family members.
