BABA FARID’S TOMB

Baba Farid was a popular Sufi saint and it is believed that Faridabad city is named after him. This tomb is a popular tourist attraction point in the city Faridabad. The shrine, here in Baba Farid’s tomb is made up of white marble having two gateways, one towards the east and the other towards the north side. Those gateways called Nuri Darwaza and Bahishti Darwaza respectively. This Bahishti Darwaza is made of silver and decorated with floral designs. At night, the tomb looks more beautiful. Every Thursday evening there is a Mehfil-e-Sama is organized where qawwals participate from different parts of the country and this grand evening is attended by hundreds of people.
