Naag Panchami 2019: Know the significance

Nag Panchami is a Hindu festival in which serpents and snakes are worshiped. This festival is celebrated with full reverence throughout the country on the fifth day of the Shukla Paksha of Shravan month. In this year 2019, Nag Panchami will be celebrated on Monday, August 5. Snake is a necklace of Lord Shiva and bed of Lord Vishnu. Lord Shiva is believed to be the deity of Sawan month. Also, in the rainy season, in which it is believed that snakes come out from the ground to the floor. Nag Panchami is worshiped to please the serpent god so that he does not cause any harm. Not only this, but Nagpanchami also has special significance to remove horoscope defects. It is believed that by doing so, liberation from the defect is attained.
