The world is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic Apollo 11 mission. From all over the world NASA is receiving congratulations and greetings for the Apollo 11 mission. On July 19, 1969, the Apollo 11 spacecraft entered into the orbit of Moon and had a safe landing on the Moon surface. The first person took a step on the moon was Neil Armstrong. Nearly 650 million people were watching in suspense when Neil Armstrong descended the ladder towards the surface of the Moon. When he took his first steps on the Moon surface he said the famous words” That’s one small step for man. One giant leap for mankind” and after that, it became Historical mission.

Google has also made a Doodle in the completion of 50 years of Apollo 11 mission.

Who is Margaret Hamilton?

Margaret Headfiled Hamilton is a computer scientist, system engineer and a business owner. She was born in America in Paoli, Indiana. She was the main person behind the development of flight software for NASA’s Apollo 11 Space Mission. She was the director of the Software Engineering Division of MIT Instrumentation Laboratory.

On November 22, 2016, Margaret Hamilton was honoured for her work leading to the success of Apollo 11 mission by receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom from former President of America Barack Obama.

Even Google has honoured her for her works.
