JEE Main 2020: CSAB – The Central Seat Allocation Board has relaxed the eligibility criterion for admissions to NITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs)

On Thursday, Union HRD Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal said that in view of the prevailing circumstances, the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has decided to relax the eligibility criterion for admissions to NITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions. The decision has been taken

Minister Dr. Ramesh pokhriyal on his official twitter handle wrote, “JEE Main 2020 qualified candidates will now only need to obtain a passing certificate in class XII examination irrespective of the marks obtained.”  

Earlier, for getting admission in NITs & other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, a student has to secure a minimum of 75% marks in XII Board exams or rank among the top 20 percentile in their qualifying examinations along with qualifying JEE Main was mandatory. But now due to pandemic conditions, the eligibility criteria have been revised.
