To celebrate the womanhood, women empowerment and contribution of women to the society, 8^th March is celebrated as International Women’s day all over the world. The day is marked for acknowledging the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Every year UN decides a theme for the women’s day and the International Women’s Day 2019 campaign theme is ‘Balance for Better’. It demonstrates that a thing that is balanced is much better than unbalanced one. It’s a year long campaign run to bridge the gender inequality prevailing in the society. Gender balance is important for every society or community to run smoothly. When there will be gender balance only then this world can become a better place to live in.
