Indian Motorcycle launched the new 2022 Chief series in India on Friday, with a starting price of Rs. 20.75 lakh (ex-showroom). The Chief Dark Horse, Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse, and Indian Super Chief Limited versions are part of the new 2022 Chief range for India.

The Indian Motorcycle Chief range comes in India with a 15.1-liter fuel tank, dual outboard preload-adjustable rear shocks, bobbed rear fender, dual exhaust, keyless ignition, LED lighting, and Pirelli Night Dragon tires. In addition to the cruise control feature, Chief also gets three ride modes – sport, standard, or tour. Each model on the new range is also offered with the industry-first, 101 mm round Touch Screen ‘RIDE COMMAND’ system.

The new Indian Chief range is powered by a Thunderstroke 116 (1890cc) engine with a peak torque of 162 Nm. A 6-speed transmission is available as an option. ABS is included as standard in the lineup. Each model features Indian’s Ride Command system which can be used via grip controls or the digital IPS touchscreen display with onboard navigation. Riders can cycle through multiple interfaces, including two different gauge configurations, bike, and ride information, and turn-by-turn navigation.

Indian Chief Dark Horse

The Indian Chief Dark Horse features stripped-down, 19-inch cast wheels, mechanical styling highlighted by drag handlebars, a slim headlight bucket, mid-mount foot controls, and a solo bobber seat. The Chief Dark Horse is offered in Black Smoke, Stealth Gray, and Alumina Jade Smoke.

Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse

The Chief Bobber Dark Horse features 16-inch (40.6 cm) wire wheels and features a large headlight bucket wrapped in a nacelle. The Chief Bobber Dark Horse is available in Black Smoke, Sagebrush Smoke, and Titanium Smoke.

Indian Super Chief Limited

The Super Chief Limited features a quick-release windscreen, traditional cruiser handlebars, black leather saddlebags, touring seat with a passenger pad. The Super Chief Limited features 16-inch (40.6 cm) wire wheels, a large headlight bucket with nacelle, and fork covers. The Super Chief Limited is available in Black Metallic, Maroon Metallic, and Blue Slate Metallic.
