Forbes-100 Highest Paid Athlete 2020: Federer tops with 802 Crore Earnings

Forbes magazine has released the list of the world’s highest-paid athlete players on Friday. In this, Swiss tennis star Roger Federer scored a top position with the earnings of $106.3 million. He left Portugal’s football star Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentina’s Lionel Messi behind.

Among Indian players, only Virat Kohli manages to be on the list of top 100. Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian cricket team, is at number 66, with the earning of $26 million. Kohli remains in the list of the highest-paid 100 players for the fourth consecutive year. The Indian captain Virat Kohli was at number 100 in 2019.

Brazilian Footballer Neymar at Number Four

Ronaldo, second in the list, with the earning of $105 million. Brazilian football star Neymar Jr. is at number four in the list, earning $95.5 million.

Highest earning women Player : Japan’s Naomi Osaka

Among women players, Japan’s tennis star Naomi Osaka has become the world’s highest-earning player. She earned $37.4 million (about Rs 284 crore) last year. Osaka has left behind Serena Williams of America who was at this position from the last 4 years. However, in terms of earnings, both have broken the world record of Maria Sharapova of Russia
