Famous poet Rahat Indori at the age of 70  died of a heart attack on Tuesday. He was hospitalized after being found corona positive. The death of the famous ‘Rahat Sahab’ is a big loss for the world of literature, especially Urdu poetry. He died while undergoing treatment at the Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAMS). Rahat Indori was also suffering from chronic diseases like heart disease, kidney disease, and diabetes.

Rahat Indori himself gave the information about the coronavirus through Twitter. He had said that my corona test was done yesterday after the onset of Covid-19 symptoms, which has been reported positive. I am in Aurobindo Hospital. Pray that I should beat this disease as soon as possible.

Expressing grief over the demise of Rahat Saheb, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan tweeted it as an irreparable loss to the state and country. I pray to God to give peace to his soul and give strength to his family and loved ones to bear this immense grief.
