In India, for a long period of time, students choosing the stream of arts was never encouraged much either because of the prejudice the society held towards arts stream or by the limited information they had for the same. Subjects that fall under the arts were also never under the spotlight of worth. But,  things have changed now and today students along with their parents are enlightened enough to understand the importance of every subject. Students opting for arts stream and specifically for the subject of psychology has increased to a great number.

Psychology, being a controversial subject for a long period, with huge stereotypes attached to it, today has a lot of attention because of the rise in suicides and depression among people.

In the survey conducted for research, it was mentioned that there is just 1 doctor for 500 patients in several mental hospitals. This comes with the never-ending revisions of the experiments, modification, and testing of the new demonstrations that you need to be updated with.

A calm approach to deal with patients or clients is an unsaid rule in psychology. Patience in the climate of uncertainty is key to excellence.

  • VERBAL AND NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION :

Flexibility in both the verbal and non – verbal communication keeps you a step forward to deal with any rough circumstances that come along with this field.

  • PERCEPTION AND SENSITIVITY :

Both of these qualities are important when it comes to personal skills. Determining certain potential risks through perceptions benefits you and the people involved. Being sensitive to problems is also a huge requirement.
