Blood makes up about 7 percent of our body’s weight and one donation of blood can save up to three lives. Under the aegis of social organization Ek Kadam Zindagi ki Aur, a blood donation camp was organized at three places on Thursday 10 October. A total of 287 units of blood were collected by three banks, Mangalam lab at Jindal Chowk, National Blood Bank at Rishinagar, and Sarvodaya Blood Bank at Dabra chowk of the city.

For the past nine years, the organization Ek Kadam Zindagi ki aur, is working for the needy people, has made blood available to thousands of patients. At every blood donation site, cloth bags were distributed to the donors by Mission Green Foundation in order to make the country plastic-free.
