10th standard is an important point of everyone’s life because the stream /path you choose after it decides your career path. 

Thus, choosing the right course after 10th is very important. Today we’ll discuss about all those courses and careers you can opt:

You have basically two kinds of options after class 10-

1). Higher Studies

2). Job opportunities

Higher studies after class 10th:-

1). 11th,12th/PUC :-

It’s a 2 years course. There are total of 3 streams available in it :

1). Science 

Which is further divided in two branches-

Non – medical:- 

consist of Physics, chemistry, maths, English as four main subjects and 5th one is optional which has many choices such as computer science, Physical education, home science, Economics,Informatics practices,Engineering drawing,  Psychology etc.

Medical: 

consist of Physics, chemistry, biology and english as four main subjects and 5th is optional

2). Commerce:-

 consist of Business studies, accountancy, economics, mathematics and english.

3). Arts: 

Consist of subjects like Geography,History,PoliticalScience, Psychology,Sociology,English,Hindi, Sanskrit etc.

As nowadays most jobs require a Bachelor’s Degree as the minimum educational qualification needed. In order to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree course, you must have completed 10+2 first. This shows how valuable this path is.

2). Polytechnic

Generally polytechnic can be defined  as a diploma in the field of engineering. You can pursue polytechnic after Class 10 as well as 12 which adds to your professional qualification.

What is Diploma?

Diploma is a short duration course that focuses upon practical training and education in a particular field. Diploma courses are offered at various levels including that in higher studies, graduation, post graduation. It is conferred by an institute, polytechnic or a university, as the case may be.

It’s a 3 years course.

 These are 1-2 years long programs. Course duration depends upon the nature of the courses . Some obtrusive ITI training programs are –

4).Paramedical – Allied Healthcare Course: 

It is related to Healthcare workers who deliver clinical services for patients under the supervision of a Physician. They are two year duration courses:

  • DOT – Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology

5) Short-term Courses :

These are job oriented courses that are beneficial to get a job after a short term of time.  These are usually 6-12 months courses:

Job opportunities

•BPO:-

Basically it’s contracting projects temporarily  that people are required to work on. This work requires processing of a specific job, converting it into product or service and delivering it to the client.

You can join BPOs for working on different projects. This is the job where your skills matter more than your marks . Salary it offers is equivalent to the average engineer’s pay package.

  • Customer services

Can you handle people management ? Then you can be a customer care support executive with just a SLLC.

You are required to compheren needs of customers, transmit it  to relevant members of your team , get the work done and give it back to your customers and make them feel brave with your good work.

•Data entry

If you are virtuous at reading, writing and researching. This work is for you. Many companies require data related to their area of service.so if someone searches on the internet for relevant content  their content can  appear on a web page .
