Bollywood’s famous and veteran actress Surekha Sikri passed away on Friday due to cardiac arrest

Three times National Award winner Actress Surekha Sikri, died of cardiac arrest on Friday, July 16, 2021. Surekha Sikri was 75 years old and suffered a brain stroke recently.

Surekha Sikri’s family has informed the media about the course. She had a brain stroke in September last year for the first time. She was discharged after being kept in the hospital for a few days.

Surekha Sikri did her graduation in acting from the National School of Drama. She was awarded the National Award thrice for the films ‘Tamas’, ‘Mammo’ and ‘Badhaai Ho’. Apart from the National Award, Surekha was also the recipient of the Sangeet Natak Academy Award. Although Surekha Sikri acted in many films and plays, but her character Dadi Sa of the TV serial ‘Balika Vadhu’ was quite famous.

Surekha Sikri was born on 19 April 1945 in Delhi and spent her childhood in Almora and Nainital. Later in 1971, she graduated from the National School of Drama. Kissa Kursi ka, Tamas, Mammo, Naseem, Sardari Begum, Sarfarosh, Dillagi, Hari Bhari, Zubaida, Kali Salwar, Raghu Romeo, Raincoat, Badhai Ho are some of the movies in which Surekha Sikri had worked. The most famous character of her in TV serials was Dadi Sa in Balika Vadhu, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, Saat Phere, and many more.
