China has betrayed India’s efforts to peacefully resolve the border dispute in Ladakh. Chinese soldiers debated with the Indian commanding officer who went for peaceful talks on Monday night and attacked them with stones, batons, and pointed weapons.

On June 6, Lt. General Level negotiated the two sides to agree to resolve the dispute. Due to this, Colonel Santosh Babu, commanding officer of 16 Bihar Regiment, went to negotiate with the Chinese side. But China once again cheated at Galvan. Galvan Valley is the area where 33 Indians died in the 1962 war.

Colonel Babu was negotiating in a peaceful manner, but during this time Chinese soldiers started arguing. During the conversation, Chinese soldiers attacked the Indian contingent with batons, stones, and sharp objects. The aim of the Chinese troops was to harm the Indian contingent. In this confrontation, 20 soldiers, including Colonel Santosh Babu, Havaldar Palani, and Soldier Kundan Jha were killed.
