Losing weight is not a tough task but it becomes harder when you stop losing weight even after taking a balanced diet, doing yoga, and regular exercise.

Stress makes you obese – When you are stressed, stress hormone cortisol regulates your appetite, it increases the craving and you reach for unhealthy, high-calorie treats, chocolates and ice-cream to satisfy your craving

Also during the stressful conditions, maybe you skipped your workout then it can also be the reason for not losing weight. 

 Eating too much food – You may think that you are doing enough exercise so you can eat as much as you can. No, you are wrong. You shouldn’t eat too often, fast food, sugary snacks, and sodas. Your body calorie balance can be disturbed by this and you will get extra pounds and inches on your waistline.

Poor sleep – Poor sleep schedule is one of the reasons for not losing weight. Sleep deprivation affect the secretion of cortisol hormone- the stress hormone. When you sleep less, you may feel confused and irritable, that can affect your activity level and food choices. Your low energy level will make you skip exercise routine and cause hindrance in weight loss.

Not drinking enough water – Water has no calories and drinking 6-8 cups of water a day can help you lose extra pounds. When you drink enough water, you will avoid other sugary and soda drinks which increase your weight. So drink at least 8 glasses of water daily which helps to regulate your body properly and maybe you start reducing weight again. 

Low-intensity exercises – You are doing workout exercises but they are low-intensity exercise which will not affect your body after some time. So, start high-intensity exercises after some time and also change and increase the time for exercise. It will help you to reduce more weight.

Medical issues – You are trying so hard and after that you are not losing weight then consult your doctor about somemedical issues as underactive thyroid, diabetes, aging, fluid secretion, steroid treatment, tiredness, and Pcod specifically in girls.  Maybe anyone of these medical issues is creating a problem for you. So, consult your doctor, cure the disease and then follow your weight loss plan.

Unrealistic goals – If you are not losing weight then maybe your goals are unrealistic. For example, you have made a goal to lose 5 kg in one week then you have to rethink about that. Always make some realistic goals which you can complete. It will increase your confidence and motivation to work hard for losing weight. 

Sitting for the whole day on a chair in the office will not allow you to lose weight. Give yourself small exercise breaks during the day to stay healthy.

If you are an alcoholic then stick to light or moderate drinking, like one glass of anything that you like. Excess of liquor will only increase your weight.

Have patience while undergoing weight loss planning. It’s not a one day or two-day task. It requires patience and perseverance. If you’re not losing weight it doesn’t mean you will not get results. Your weight loss may be affected by one of the above reasons. Find out the reason and resolve to lose weight.
