Weight loss is the biggest craze among people these days. Most people love to lose weight without much effort. For people like them, the GM diet is there. GM diet is a 7-day diet plan by which you can decrease weight by 5 to 7 kg. Under the GM diet, it is recommended to eat food from different food groups for 7 days and this diet plan also claims to lose more weight in less time.

The GM diet or 7-day diet consists of fruits, vegetables, and food that have low or zero calories and high water content. This helps to create a calorie deficit and enhance fat loss. For better results, you can follow this diet more than once after a gap of 5 to 7 days.

The 7-day sample diet plan given below is for vegan. Non-vegan can include chicken and fish at the place of brown rice and cheese.

Day 1

Breakfast – One bowl of watermelon

Lunch – One apple and one orange

Dinner – One bowl of kiwi or one grapefruit

Day 2

Breakfast – One boiled potato

Lunch – A mixed salad includes tomato, cucumber, and carrot

Dinner – One bowl of spinach

Day 3

Breakfast – One bowl of watermelon and one boiled potato

Lunch – One orange and a mixed salad of veggies

Dinner – One bowl of spinach and one apple

Day 4

Breakfast – One glass of skimmed milk with two bananas

Lunch – One glass of banana shake 

Dinner – One glass of skimmed milk with two bananas

Day 5

Breakfast – Two tomatoes with one bowl of watermelon

Lunch – One glass of tomato juice with some sauteed vegetables

Dinner – One bowl of veggies and one orange

Increase the capacity of water. Drink 6-8 glass of water to release the excess of toxins.

Day 6

Breakfast – One apple or orange and one bowl of spinach

Lunch – One bowl of baked vegetables

Dinner – One bowl of soup and one bowl of watermelon

Day 7

Breakfast – One bowl of spinach and brown rice

Lunch – One bowl of brown rice with mixed salad

Dinner – One bowl of green veggies and mixed fruit juice

Avoid taking high-calorie beverages, alcohol, and sweeteners while following the GM diet. During this time, you can take unsweetened black tea, black coffee, or Green tea.

While following the GM diet for a week and after that for a week, avoid eating any kind of junk food as it can make you gain weight again.

Side effects of GM diet: GM diet is not backed by any scientific research that it helps in weight loss. It is believed that the reduction occurs in the body’s water weight, not the fats. The GM diet also lacks some essential nutrients.
